How Our Visual Studies Are Developed

We treat the gaming table like a miniature stage set—using controlled 3D lighting studies to demystify angles, spacing, and mood for everyday hosts.

Why Rendered Studies Beat Cluttered Diagrams

When we launched boardbuddybrixal.pics in London, we noticed two extremes in board game photography advice. On one side were technical macro tutorials demanding three studio strobes, C-stands, and focus-stacking rails. On the other were casual phone snaps ruined by harsh ceiling glare and tangled snack wrappers.

We chose a third path: Coral Table Studio. Every visual demonstration on our site is a softly lit 3D render built to exact physical scale—28mm and 32mm figures, 16mm birch resource cubes, and standard 295×295mm game boxes—placed on plain deep-forest and warm coral surfaces.

Visual Study ST-01: From physical token dimensions to soft-box light simulation. 3D Render Study

By labelling every image transparently as a 3D Render Study, we never pretend our diagrams are documentary snapshots of a live party. Instead, each render acts as a clear blueprint that you can replicate at home with a single movable lamp and five minutes of table styling.
